Pioneering Figure in Saudi Contemporary Art

Known for developing the “Horizonism” style inspired by Riyadh’s skyline, AlSaleem was the first artist to hold a solo exhibition in Riyadh (1967) and was instrumental in designing many public sculptures in the capital. His dedication to supporting younger generations of artists laid the foundation for Dar Alfnoon as Saudi Arabia’s first independent art house. His legacy lives on through a preserved collection of over 120 works that form the nucleus of DarAlfnoon’s permanent archive.
